Test Print
• To check for image on the printer side by letting the copier produce various types of test
pattern.
• The copier searches through the paper sources in the order of the 2nd Drawer, 3rd
Drawer, 4th Drawer, and 1st Drawer for paper of the maximum size for printing.

Gradation
Pattern
To produce a gradation pat-
tern.
Used for checking grada-
tion reproducibility.
• Select SINGLE (single copy) or MULTI
(multi copy).
• Select FEET or HYPER.
• Select Gradation or Resolution.
• Select the color mode.
Black (4PC): Uses four colors.
Black (1PC): Uses one color of black.
Halftone
Pattern
To produce a solid halftone
pattern.
Used for checking
uneven density and pitch
noise.
• Select SINGLE (single copy) or MULTI
(multi copy).
• Select FEET or HYPER.
• Select Gradation or Resolution.
• Select the color mode.
Black (4PC): Uses four colors.
Black (1PC): Uses one color of black.
• Type the density level (0 to 255).
Lattice Pattern
To produce a lattice pattern.
Used for checking fine
line reproducibility and
uneven density. A
reverse pattern is also
used to check for fine line
reproducibility of white
letters on a solid back-
ground.
• Select SINGLE (single copy) or MULTI
(multi copy).
• Select FEET or HYPER.
• Select the color mode.
Black (4PC): Uses four colors.
Black (1PC): Uses one color of black.
• Enter CD width and FD width (0 to 191
dots).
• Type the density level (0 to 255).
• Select Normal or Reverse.
Solid Pattern
To produce each of the C,
M, Y, and Bk solid patterns.
Used for checking repro-
ducibility of image den-
sity.
• Select SINGLE (single copy) or MULTI
(multi copy).
• Select FEET or HYPER.
• Select Gradation or Resolution.
• Type the density level (0 to 255).
Color Sample
To produce a color sample.
Used for checking repro-
ducibility of each of the
different colors.
Select SINGLE (single copy) or MULTI
(multi copy).
