[2] Replacing the Double feed prevent

roller and Torque limiter

Caution

Make sure that the power cord of the main

body is unplugged from the power outlet.

a. Procedure

(1) When replacing the double feed prevent roller

and the torque limiter for the upper tray, detach

the top cover.

(2) Detach the paper feed roller unit.

(3) Release the hooks on both sides, remove the

double feed prevention roller assembly by lifting

up, then pull out the shaft, and remove the double

feed prevention roller together with the feed-

reverse gear.

(4) Separate the double feed prevention roller and

the torque limiter from the double feed preven-

tion roller assembly.

(5) When replacing the double feed prevention roller

and the torque limiter for the lower tray, open the

upper unit and perform the steps 2 and 3.

(6) Reinstall the above parts following the removal

steps in reverse.

Caution:

Ensure that the mounting direction of

each roller and rubber is correct.
