When replacing the batteries, slide the power switch to turn off the camera. • You may skip this step when inserting the batteries for the first time after a purchase. Slide the battery-chamber door slightly in the direction and open it in the direction.

Otherwise, the data in the card may be lost or the card may be damaged. If you insert or remove the CF card when the camera is turned on, re-format the CF card after transferring the data from the card to your computer if the data is safe.

Therefore, with the autofocus mode, the focus may not be adjusted correctly on the following subjects.

Select this mode to reduce the harsh shadows when you take the picture outdoor and the subject’s face is shaded with a hat and so on.

And just before taking the picture, the lamp lights up to show the time to take a shot. • The beep sounds at the time when the lamp blinks. (The beep can be canceled with the menu in the SETUP mode.

In the recording mode, press the key in the recording mode so that the image is zoomed to the maximum. Press and hold the key for more than 2 seconds. • The digital zoom function is set.
