What is Connect (Local Search)?
Connect is not available on all models.
Connect allows you to search online for live POI information. Using Connect you can search for and navigate to POIs
using your Navman or you can navigate to POIs you have downloaded using NavDesk.
To search for POIs using your Navman, you must pair your Navman with your mobile phone. If your Navman isn’t
paired with your mobile phone, the Bluetooth screen will display. For more information on paring, see “How do I pair
my Navman with a Bluetooth mobile phone?” on page 39.
How do I search for a POI using Connect?

1. Choose one of the following:
If you want to… Then…
use your current location to search for live
POI information
 tap Near here.
The Preview screen will display.
 Tap Accept.
The Available services screen will display.
search for POI information at your
destination
Note: This option is only available if you
have a route planned.
 tap Near my destination.
The Preview screen will display.
 Tap Accept.
The Available services screen will display.
search for a new location
 tap Find another place.
The Go screen will display.
 Search for a place and Tap Accept.
The Available services screen will display.
Depending on the country you are navigating, the available search services may vary. Depending on the service
selected you can search for a POI by name or by category.
