PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Grout Sealer is designed for the pro-
tection of all sanded, non-sanded and mortar joints. Grout Sealer pene-
trates into the surface and forms an invisible barrier that is resistant to
moisture and stains, while allowing vapor to escape. Grout Sealer is not a
surface coating and will not alter the natural look. Grout Sealer can be used
on interior and exterior applications. Grout Sealer is U.V. transparent and
will not yellow under any circumstances.
NOTE: For any question concerning grout-refer to the manufacturers specifi-
cations.
Sample Testing
Due to the differences of each material, several inconspicuous test patches
should be completed to assure maximum performance. User must deter-
mine suitability of the product for their intended use.
Grout Color Modification
For changing the color of sanded, epoxy and non-sanded grout joints use
the Grout Pen.
Protect Neighboring Surfaces
Always protect neighboring surfaces including wood, carpet, metal, land-
scaping and other non masonry surfaces.
NEW INSTALL ATIONS - APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Read entire label and SDS/PDS before using. Grout Sealer should not
be diluted or thinned in any way. Grout Sealer should be used as is direct from
approved container.
Grout or mortar must be cured per manufacturers specification before
applying Grout Sealer. Apply Grout Sealer with its unique applicator tip
directly to the joint for maximum stain resistance. Any excess sealer that
gets on tile or stone surface should be wiped off with a clean towel before it
dries. Be careful not to allow sealer to puddle on surface.
Existing Installation - Surface Preparation
Grout or mortar surface must be dry and free of contaminants, including
previously applied sealers, dirt, lime and hard water deposits, efflores-
cence, rust & other heavy dirt and grime.
Floor Coating/Wax Removal
To remove existing coatings and/or waxes use Mira Strip or Finish Sealer
Stripper per the instructions.
Heavy Duty Cleaning: To remove lime and hard water deposits, efflores-
cence, rust and other heavy dirt and grime use HDAC (Heavy Duty Acidic
Cleaner) or Phosphoric Acid Cleaner or Porcelain Ceramic Tile Cleaner fol-
lowing the instructions carefully. If an additional non acid deep cleaning is
necessary use Liquid Poultice as directed. All strippers and/or cleaners
should be thoroughly rinsed with clean water and the materials allowed to
dry.
Light Duty Cleaning: Use Grout Cleaner, Tile & Stone Cleaner or Counter
Kleen as directed.
Residue Removal
To remove accumulated Grout Sealer residue, use Residue Removeras
directed.
Existing Installation - Application Instructions:
Follow the application instructions previously mentioned.
Coverage
Coverage will vary depending on the density porosity, texture, surface
absorption, weather, time solution left on the surface and application meth-
ods. Used as directed, Grout Sealer will cover approximately 60 - 115
square feet per 6 oz. bottle (5 sq. meters per 14 milliliters).
Cure Time
Grout Sealer will be dry to the touch in 1 - 3 hours and may be put into ser-
vice. For optimum results the area should be kept dry and free from staining
materials for 72 hours.
