KHST / KRPS / PS Strap Ties
KRPS – Meets IBC, IRC, & L.A. City requirements for notched plates
where plumbing, heating, or other pipes are placed in partitions.
PS – Piling Straps connect wood pilings to oor girders. Hot-dip
galvanized for corrosion protection in coastal environments.
KHST – Heavy-capacity strap that utilizes bolts.

Installation:

• Install one strap tie for each 2x plate.

1) Allowable loads have been increased 60% for wind or seismic loads; no further increase shall be permitted.
2) Allowable loads are based on single shear, parallel to grain loading with a 3-1/2" minimum member thickness
for KHST2 and KHST5, and 4-1/2" minimum member thickness for KHST3 and KHST6.
3) PS piling strap design loads must be determined for each installation. Bolts are installed perpendicular and
parallel-to-grain.
