Formatting a Volume
VOlume Format <RSD> <volume name> RES
SCRatch
Erases, formats, and renames the device to the specified
volume name. Use the SCRatch qualifier only when
changing from a previously formatted older file system.
Always use the SCRatch qualifier when formatting the hard
disk.
VOlume Format <RSD> <volume name> RES
Erases, formats, and renames the device to the specified
volume name. Use this command to format an RSD to be
used for backup purposes.
VOlume Format <RSD> <volume name>
Erases, formats, and renames the device to the specified
volume name. Use this command to format an RSD to be
used for a DATA SAVE.
VOlume Format DISK SYSUSER REDundancy
ONLY
Erases and formats the redundant file system only.
