Making a Message Center Backup
The MSGCTR BACKUP command copies Message Center
messages from RAM to RSD.
To Make a Message Center Backup
1. Insert a formatted RSD in the RSD drive (see page 163).
2. Log on to the active plane and select maintenance
mode.
3. Enter:
VOL MOUNT RSD
Read the volume name of the RSD from the system
response on the maintenance terminal.
4. Enter:
MSGC B ∗.<volume name of RSD>
5. Remove the RSD from the RSD drive.
