Conducting a DHCP Trace
There is a delay while the phone performs DHCP discovery. The result of the trace displays
the following information:
• Phone and Gateway IP addresses
• Subnet mask
• WINS, DNS, TFTP, ICP and Video servers
• DHCP server and Mitel IDs
• Lease
• T1 and T2
• VLAND ID and priority
• HTTP proxy
• IPA address.
To conduct a DHCP trace on the Dual Mode phone:
1. Access the Configuration Menu (see page 188).
2. Press No until TOOLS AND FEATURES? appears.
3. Press Yes, and then press No until DHCP Trace? appears.
4. Press Yes, and press the Up/Down volume keys to view the results of the DHCP trace.
5. To exit, do one of the following:
- When you return to DHCP TRACE?, press No.
- To return to the default display, press Superkey.
Configuring Video Conferencing Parameters
To configure video conferencing on the 5220 IP Phone (Dual Boot):
1. Access the Configuration Menu (see page 188).
2. Press No until TOOLS AND FEATURES? appears.
3. Press Yes and then press No until VIDEO CONFIGURATION? appears.
4. Press Yes. VIEW PARAMETERS? appears.
5. Do one of the following:
- Press Yes and then follow the prompts. When you return to VIEW PARAMETERS?,
press No. MODIFY PARAMETERS appears.
- To continue, press No. MODIFY PARAMETERS appears.
6. Do one of the following:
- Press Yes and follow the prompts to modify the video conferencing parameters, store
the changes, and reboot the phone.
- To set the factory default settings, press Default and follow the prompts to set and
store the factory defaults and reboot the phone.
