Log Off a Handset
1. Press and hold .
2. When the "Log off?" window appears, press "Yes".
Turn On/Off the Audible Signal
The handset must be in idle mode. A long press on the or in idle mode toggles
the ring signal on/off.
The icon in the status bar indicates a silenced handset.
Lock/Unlock the Keypad
Lock/Unlock the Keypad in Idle Mode
You can lock keys to prevent you from accidentally pressing them.
Lock Keypad
1. Press .
2. Press "Lock".
Unlock keypad

2. Press "Yes".
Lock/Unlock the Keypad during a Call
To prevent accidentally pressing keys you can lock keys during a call. This is useful when
wearing a a headset and a handset attached to a pocket or belt.
Lock the Keypad
1. Press .
2. Press "Lock".
Note: The handset must be in idle mode. While in a menu, press the End key to
return to idle mode.
Note: If a handset is shared and one of the users logs off the shared/hot desk phone,
the lock that prevents the handset from unauthorized use is deactivated. For additional
information, see Lock/Unlock the Handset on page 17.
Note: You can answer/close an incoming call and/or press the alarm button while the
keypad is locked. If configured in Portable Device Manager (WinPDM), you can call a
pre-defined emergency number while the keypad is locked. See the Mitel 5624 Wireless
Handset Configuration Guide.
