Function and Operation
■
Key Assignment
The side key is assigned to the following function by the
programming and you can select “short press” or “Long press”.
Short press: Monitor
Long press: Monitor
■
Time-out Timer(TOT)
The feature allows for more efficient use of channels by limiting the
maximum time of each transmission. Once a continuous transmission
exceeds the preset time (programmed by your dealer), the radio will
automatically stop transmitting and sound a warning tone until the PTT
is released.
■
VOX Function
If this function is enabled, VOX will automatically transmit
(without pressing the PTT button) when the audio level is
higher than the configured VOX Gain Level. You must
connect a headset to the transceiver to use the VOX
function. The VOX function does not activate when a
headset is not connected to the accessory terminal of the
transceiver. Depending on the configuration of the VOX
Gain Level and the volume of your voice, the first part of
your voice may not be transmitted. If a headset is
connected to the transceiver while the VOX function is
switched ON and the VOX Gain Level is configured to a
higher, more sensitive level, louder received signal may
cause the transceiver to start transmission. SET TO VOX
OFF AS STANDARD -
■
Battery Save
If this function is programmed by your dealer, Battery Save will be
automatically activated once no activity on the channel or no operation is
performed (no key pressing or any knob selection).
Pressing any key or receiving a signal will restore the radio to normal
operation and exit Battery Save mode.
■
Low Battery Alert
The red LED flashes and the radio sounds every 30 seconds, to alert the
user to recharge the battery or replace it with a fresh one when the battery
power runs low.
