♦ SIMPLE LOCK
When SIMPLE LOCK is on, buttons other than the SPLIT/
SEQUENCE button, ZOOM button, camera number but-
tons 1 ~ 9 and the MAIN switch become inoperable and
the unit will be locked in the current state.
To apply simple lock • • •
1. Press the LOCK button using a ballpoint pen, etc., when
both the MAIN switch and POWER switch are set to ON.
• The lock turns on and the LOCK indicator lights.
To cancel simple lock • • •
1. Press the LOCK button.
• The lock is canceled and the LOCK indicator turns off.
♦ PASSWORD LOCK
When applying PASSWORD LOCK, buttons other than the
SPLIT/SEQUENCE button, ZOOM button, camear number
buttons 1 ~ 9 and the MAIN switch become inoperable until
the correct password is entered and the lock is canceled.
When the MAIN switch of the rear is set to ON,
the PASSWORD LOCK can be registered, set and
canceled even with the POWER switch on the front
set to OFF.
To register the password • • •
The password is registered using a 4 digit number using
numbers from 0 ~ 9.
1. Press and hold the LOCK button with a ballpoint pen, etc.,
for 5 seconds with MAIN switch set to ON.
• The <PASSWORD LOCK SETTING> screen appears and the
first input position of “FIRST” will be displayed in reversed
color.

2. Turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.
• The background of the input position displayed in reversed
color turns red and flashes.
3. Turn the JOG dial to input a number and turn the SHUTTLE
ring clockwise.
• Flashing of the inputted number stops.
4. Turn the JOG dial to move the reverse display to the next
input position and turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.
• The background of the next input position turns red and
flashes.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to enter the remaining digits of “FIRST”.
• If there is an error in the input, turn the JOG dial to move to
the input position to change and repeat steps 3 and 4.
6. Turn the JOG dial to move the reverse display to “CONFIRM”
and turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.
• “SECOND” appears and the first input position is displayed
in reversed color.

To exit the screen when setting the PASSWORD
LOCK, press and hold the LOCK button for more
than 5 seconds while one of the input positions is
displayed in reversed color. The setting screen will
be cleared and the LOCK indicator will flash. Press
the LOCK button again to turn off the indicator. The
screen cannot be exited while one of the input posi-
tions is still flashing.
7. Re-enter the number entered in “FIRST” in “SECOND”.
8. Turn the JOG dial to move the reverse display to “CONFIRM”
and turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.
• The <PASSWORD LOCK SETTING> screen is cleared and
the password is registered.
• The PASSWORD LOCK is applied and the LOCK indicator
lights.
To cancel password lock • • •
1. Press and hold the LOCK button for more than 5 seconds.
• The <PASSWORD LOCK SETTING> screen appears and the
first input position is displayed in reverse color.

color turns red and flashes.

ring clockwise.

input position and turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.
• The next input position flashes.

and turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.
• The <PASSWORD LOCK SETTING> screen is cleared, the
lock is canceled and the LOCK indicator turns off.
In the case the set password is lost or forgotten,
contact the Mitsubishi Service Center.
