SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAUTION Do not touch the air inlet or the aluminum fins of the indoor/outdoor unit. • This may cause injury. Do not use insecticides or flammable sprays on the unit. • This may cause a fire or deformation of the unit. Do not expose pets or houseplants to direct airflow. • This may cause injury to the pets or plants. Do not place other electric appliances or furniture under the indoor/outdoor unit. • Water may drip down from the unit, which may cause damage or malfunction.

PREPARATION BEFORE OPERATION Before operation: Insert the power supply plug into the power outlet and/or turn the breaker on. Installing the remote controller batteries 4. Remove the front lid. RE SE T 1. Press RESET. CL K OC 2. 3. Insert the negative pole of AAA alkaline batteries first. Install the front lid. • Make sure the polarity of the batteries is correct. • Do not use manganese batteries and leaking batteries. The remote controller could malfunction. • Do not use rechargeable batteries.
● OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS ● SELECTING OPERATION MODES I FEEL mode The unit selects the operation mode according to the room temperature when I FEEL is selected. When the room temperature is higher than 77°F (25°C), COOL is selected (set temperature: 75°F [24°C]). When the room temperature is lower than 77°F (25°C), DRY is selected. However, when operation is stopped and then started within 2 hours, the mode which has been selected previously is operated.
FAN SPEED AND AIRFLOW DIRECTION ADJUSTMENT Airflow direction (AUTO) .........The vane is set to the most efficient airflow direction. :horizontal position. (Manual) .......For efficient air conditioning, select the upper position for COOL/DRY, and the lower position for FAN. If the position (4) or (5) is selected during COOL/DRY, the vane automatically moves to the upward position after 0.5 to 1 hour to prevent any condensation from dripping. (Swing) .........The vane moves up and down intermittently.
● OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS ● ECONO COOL OPERATION Press during COOL mode page 5 to start ECONO COOL operation. TIMER OPERATION (ON/OFF TIMER) 1 Press (ON timer) : The unit performs swing operation vertically in various cycle according to the temperature of the unit. Set temperature is set 4°F (2°C) higher automatically. Press 2 Press (Increase) and time of timer. Press during COOL mode page 5 to start POWERFUL operation.
CLEANING Instructions: • Switch off the power supply or turn off the breaker before cleaning. • Be careful not to touch the metal parts with your hands. • Do not use benzine, thinner, polishing powder, or insecticide. • Use only diluted mild detergents. • Do not expose parts to direct sunlight, heat, or fire to dry. • Do not use water hotter than 120°F (50°C).
● OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS ● WHEN YOU THINK THAT TROUBLE HAS OCCURRED Even if these items are checked, when the unit does not recover from the trouble, stop using the air conditioner and consult your dealer. Symptom Explanation & Check points Symptom The air from the indoor unit smells strange. Indoor Unit The unit cannot be operated. • Is the breaker turned on? • Is the power supply plug connected? • Is the ON timer set? WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER IS NOT INSTALLATION PLACE AND GOING TO BE USED FOR A LONG TIME 1 ELECTRICAL WORK Installation place Set to the highest temperature in manual COOL mode, and operate for 3 to 4 hours. Cuando la temperatura ambiente es superior a 77°F (25°C), se selecciona REFRIGERACIÓN (temperatura establecida: 75°F [24°C]). Cuando la temperatura ambiente es inferior a 77 °F (25°C), se selecciona DESHUMIDIFICACIÓN.
VELOCIDAD DEL VENTILADOR Y AJUSTE DE LA DIRECCIÓN DEL AIRE Dirección del flujo de aire (AUTO).............El deflector se ajusta en la dirección de flujo de aire que ofrece un mayor rendimiento. : posición horizontal. (Manual) ...........Para un mejor rendimiento del acondicionador de aire, seleccione la posición superior para REFRIGERACIÓN/ DESHUMIDIFICACIÓN y la posición inferior para VENTILADOR.
● MANUAL DE INSTRUCCIONES ● FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA DESCONEX- IÓN AUTOMÁTICA (ECONO COOL) Pulse durante el modo de REFRIGERACIÓN página 5 para iniciar el funcionamiento de desconexión automática (ECONO COOL). FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL TEMPORIZADOR (ACTIVACIÓN/DESACTIVACIÓN DEL TEMPORIZADOR) 1 Pulse o durante el funcionamiento para ajustar el temporizador. (ACTIVACIÓN del temporizador): La unidad se encenderá (ON) a la hora establecida.
LIMPIEZA Instrucciones: • Durante la limpieza, apague el disyuntor o desenchúfelo de la toma de corriente. • Tenga cuidado de no tocar las partes metálicas con las manos. • No utilice bencina, polvo de pulimentación ni insecticida. • Use sólo detergentes suaves diluidos. • No exponga directamente al sol, al calor o a las llamas ninguna pieza con el fin de secarla. • No use agua con temperatura superior a 120°F (50°C).
● MANUAL DE INSTRUCCIONES ● SI CREE QUE HA OCURRIDO ALGÚN PROBLEMA Si después de comprobar estas cuestiones el acondicionador de aire sigue sin funcionar bien, póngase en contacto con su distribuidor. PREPARATIF D’UTILISATION Avant la mise en marche : Insérez la fiche d’alimentation électrique dans la prise secteur et/ou enclenchez le disjoncteur. Insertion des piles dans la télécommande 4. 1. Appuyez sur la touche RESET. Retirez le couvercle avant. RE SE T CL K OC 2. 3. Insérez les piles alcalines AAA en plaçant d’abord le pôle négatif. Posez le couvercle avant. • Veillez à respecter la polarité des piles. • N’utilisez pas de piles au manganèse ou des piles qui présentent une fuite.
● NOTICE D’UTILISATION ● SELECTION DES MODES DE FONCTIONNEMENT Mode de SENSATION (I FEEL) Le climatiseur sélectionne le mode de fonctionnement selon la température de la pièce si le mode de SENSATION est activé. Si la température de la pièce est supérieure à 77°F (25°C), le mode de REFROIDISSEMENT est sélectionné (température programmée : 75°F [24°C]). Si elle est inférieure à 77°F (25°C), le mode de DESHUMIDIFICATION est sélectionné.
REGLAGE DE LA VITESSE DU VENTILATEUR ET DE LA DIRECTION DU FLUX D’AIR Direction du flux d’air (AUTO)..........L’ailette est réglée pour fournir la direction de flux d’air la plus efficace. : position horizontale. (Manuel) ........Pour une climatisation efficace, sélectionnez la position supérieure pour le mode REFROIDISSEMENT/DESHUMIDIFICATION et la position inférieure pour la VENTILATION.
● NOTICE D’UTILISATION ● FONCTIONNEMENT EN MODE ECONO COOL Appuyez sur la touche en mode de REFROIDISSEMENT page 5 pour lancer le fonctionnement ECONO COOL. FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA MINUTERIE (MARCHE/ARRET) 1 (Démarrage de la minuterie [ON]) : Le climatiseur démarrera (ON) à l’heure programmée. L’unité effectue plusieurs cycles d’oscillations verticales selon la température du climatiseur. La température programmée est automatiquement réglée 4°F (2°C) au dessus de la température normale.
NETTOYAGE Instructions : • Coupez l’alimentation ou le disjoncteur avant de procéder au nettoyage du climatiseur. • Veillez à ne pas toucher les parties métalliques avec les mains. • N’utilisez ni benzine, ni diluant, ni poudre abrasive, ni insecticide. • Utilisez uniquement un détergent doux dilué avec de l’eau. • N’exposez pas les pièces aux rayons directs du soleil, à la chaleur ou à une flamme pour les faire sécher. • N’utilisez pas d’eau dont la température est supérieure à 120°F (50°C).
● NOTICE D’UTILISATION ● EN PRESENCE D’UNE PANNE POTENTIELLE Suite à la vérification de ces points, si le climatiseur ne fonctionne toujours pas correctement, ne vous en servez plus et consultez votre revendeur. SI LE CLIMATISEUR DOIT RESTER LIEU D’INSTALLATION ET LONGTEMPS INUTILISE 1 TRAVAUX ELECTRIQUES Lieu d’installation Sélectionnez manuellement le mode de REFROIDISSEMENT et réglez la température la plus élevée ; faites fonctionner le climatiseur entre 3 et 4 heures. Page 5 Evitez d’installer le climatiseur dans les endroits suivants. • En présence d’une grande quantité d’huile de machine. • Dans les régions où l’air est très salin, comme en bord de mer.
