❚ The Right Stuff: Interlaced Fibre
Reinforced IMPP Cone
An extremely rigid yet lightweight cone is vital to
prevent cone failure at high sound pressure levels.
Pioneer’s new patent-pending IMPP cone meets this
need perfectly. It incorporates a proprietary
composite blend of long carbon fibres for the
TS-W5000SPL, glass fibres/carbon fibres for the
TS-W121SPL and TS-W101SPL or Aramid fibres for the
TS-W305C and TS-W255C. The fibres interlace
together to form an exceptionally resilient fibre weave, which provides the strength
and rigidity for low distortion, clean and extremely powerful bass. The stuff that
champions are made of!

❚ Solid Support: Aluminium Die-cast Basket
with Bottom Hold Structure
During high SPL levels, the motor assembly is placed under
extreme pressure. So Pioneer developed an exclusive
aluminium die-cast basket which securely supports the
motor. This basket structure prevents any unwanted flex or
vibration that can cause energy loss and reduce overall
performance. A solid winner!

❚ High dB Durability: 3-layer Fibre
Woven Radial Surround
The whole range of new Pioneer subs is outfitted
with a patent-pending 3-layer Fibre Woven Radial
Surround design. The surround consists of two
outer layers (rubber for the TS-W5000SPL) and
one inner layer of interwoven fibre (Aramid fibre
for the TS-W5000SPL) with a honeycomb weave
for even distribution throughout the surround
material. This eliminates weak points and
improves the high power capability for an
extremely durable and resilient surround that
resists puckering, even under the extreme power
conditions of SPL competitions.

❚ Massive Force of the High Power Motor Assembly
The huge triple-stacked motor assembly of the TS-W5000SPL uses three massive,
power-packing magnets — at 3 kg each — to drive the voice coil and cone with
incredible force, moving the cone assembly as hard as possible to overcome the
tremendous air pressure resistance experienced in world class SPL (+170 dB)
competitions. The TS-W121SPL and TS-W101SPL feature a double-stacked magnet
assembly; the TS-W305C and TS-W255C models feature a dual mass magnet
assembly which also provides exceptional force for superior bass. Either way you
