6.6 Special Functionality
6.6.1 Product Wastage
You can use this feature to enter the quantity of item that was not used or wasted due to some
reason.
Following are the circumstances under which you can waste an item:

 An item was confirmed to be administered but was ultimately not given to patient

 Item was dropped on the floor

 Item was tainted due to bleeding

 Product contamination

 Product dropped/damaged

 Insufficient dosage quantity

 Adverse patient condition

 Change of procedure and there by change of item
To waste items
1. Navigate to the Patient Selection screen shown in Illustration 11 on page 33.
2. Select the patient for whom you want to waste the item.
3. Press Confirm Patient.
The Patient Summary screen is displayed as shown in the following illustration.
