2.2 Housing And Connectors
The Mx2wire+ media converter is a set of two Mx2wire+ units, each consisting of a circuit
board and housing, front panel, frames, in-wall or on-wall socket and assembly parts.
Connectors
• Front panel: Network RJ45 (Ethernet network including PoE supply)
• Rear panel: Two-wire (connectors 1 and 2) and 48–57VDC (connectors 3 and 4)

Only connectors 1 and 2 may be used for the two-wire connection. Connectors 3 and 4
are only used for connecting a separate power supply unit if there is no other PoE supply
(switch/injector) available in the system or its power level is no longer sucient to supply
power to the end devices.
The terminals of
Mx2wire+ are designed
for wire cross-sections
of between 0.13 mm2
and 2.5 mm2 (solid wire)
