• DynDNS client for accessing the camera via the Web using a symbolic name
(e.g. mymobotixcam.dyndns.org) although the provider is assigning a
new dynamic IP address every time the camera connects to the Internet.
• Unerasable backup operating system that is used to restart the camera in
the event that a software update has failed, allowing you to restart the up-
date process.
• Enhanced startup options for the camera (obtain IP address via DHCP, an-
nouncement of IP address and other network data, reset to factory default
settings).
• Notifications upon errors or when rebooting provide a method for execut-
ing one or more notifications (e.g. blinking of the camera LEDs, audio mes-
sage, FTP, e-mail, phone call, network message).
• Extended security features protect the pages and features of the camera
and prohibit unauthorized access (IP-level access control, intrusion detec-
tion). They also provide SSL-protected transmission of the video sequences
and the data (using SSL encryption and X.509 certificates).
