User manual

when a camera with a factory IP
address is connected to a network
in which a DHCP server automati-
cally assigns the IP addresses.
MxEasy can automatically config-
ure such a camera so that it is
"integrated" into your existing net-
work. To do so, simply highlight the
desired camera in the list.
Click on Next to display a security
prompt; if you click on OK, the dia-
log for reconfiguring the selected
camera will appear.
If your computer gets its IP address
automatically from a DHCP server,
then this is certainly the best choice
for the that specific camera (Auto-
matically obtain an IP address)
and most likely for all other cam-
eras which have been found in a
different subnet (Apply to all
selected cameras checkbox).
If you have assigned a fixed IP address to your computer, you will most likely prefer
to assign fixed IP addresses (issued by your system administrator) to every camera
(Use the following IP address). Here, for the most part, you should enter a similar
configuration as in the network settings of your computer.
Once you click on OK, the selected
cameras will be reconfigured auto-
matically. All reconfigured cameras
are now running in the same subnet
as the computer and are displayed with an
OK
status in the camera list.
