User manual

when a camera with a factory IP
address is connected to a net-
work in which a DHCP server
automatically assigns the IP
addresses. MxEasy can auto-
matically configure such a
camera so that it is "integrated"
into your existing network. To do
so, simply highlight the desired
camera in the list.
Click on Next to display a secu-
rity prompt; if you click on OK,
the dialog for reconfiguring the
selected camera will appear.
If your computer gets its IP
address automatically from a
DHCP server, then this is cer-
tainly the best choice for the that
specific camera (Automatically
obtain an IP address) and most
likely for all other cameras
which have been found in a dif-
ferent subnet (Apply to all
selected cameras checkbox).
If you have assigned a fixed IP address to your computer, you will most likely prefer
to assign fixed IP addresses (issued by your system administrator) to every camera
(Use the following IP address). Here, for the most part, you should enter a similar
configuration as in the network settings of your computer.
Once you click on OK, the
selected cameras will be recon-
figured automatically. All recon-
figured cameras are now run-
ning in the same subnet as the computer and are displayed with an
OK
status
in the camera list.
