SUPER BRAIN 820
AC/DC DELTA PEAK QUICK CHARGER
Caution
1. This charger is designed for 6-8 cells (7.2 - 9.6 volt), sub – C or larger cell,
NiCd & NiMH battery pack. Never try to charge any battery other than a 6 to 8 cell,
sub C or larger, NiCd or NiMH battery pack with this charger.
2. Never use AC and DC input at the same time.
3. Do not use the charger with the car’s engine running.
4. Never leave the charger unattended while charging a battery; the ultimate safety
device is your vigilance. Disconnect the battery if it becomes hot.
5. Do not allow moisture to enter the charger.
6. Always unplug the charger from outlet when it is not in use.
Operation
Plug the AC line cord into an AC outlet, or if you are using DC input, connect the red clamp to
a 12V car battery’s positive terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal. The red
pilot light will flash in half-second intervals.
Plug in the battery. The charger will automatically start to charge the battery. The red pilot
light’s flash rate will change to a longer on-time and momentary off-time rate to indicate the
fast charging. When the fast charging is complete, the pilot light will change to green and
return to flashing in half-second intervals and you can charge another battery; Otherwise it
will trickle charge for 90 minutes. After that, the charger will shut down completely.
The Super Brain 820 is designed to charge batteries in a conservative manner. To ensure a
full charge, top off the pack by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting. If the battery
has been fully charged, the charger will begin to fast charge and when complete, then go
into trickle mode.
Return Procedure
If is should be necessary to return your RB820 for service, please include a letter
that is printed clearly with your name, address, a daytime telephone number,
a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing, and a check or money order for
$7.00 for return S & H.
