G-DOCK ev Indicator LEDs
There are two Dock Indicator LEDs on the front of the G-DOCK ev
unit, located next to each drive bay. There are also Activity Lights on
the G-DRIVE ev hard drives. All of these lights give visual indications
about how the Evolution Series is performing.
The G-Technology Assistant is needed to activate the G-DOCK Indica-
tor LEDs. Learn more in G-Technology Assistant Utility.
Powering On
Once the G-DOCK ev TB power adapter has been plugged in, the enclosure
automatically powers on. As conrmation, the Activity Lights on the G-DRIVE
ev hard drives will glow.
Using Evolution Series Hard Drives
When a G-DRIVE ev hard drive module is ejected, the light next to the Eject
button will turn green, indicating that it’s safe to remove the module.
Data Transfer
The G-DRIVE ev hard drives have Activity Lights to
indicate that the drives are inserted and on, as well
as indicating disk activity. The Activity Light will glow
brighter when data is being transferred to and from
the hard drive. Learn about G-DRIVE ev Activity Lights.
Dock Indicator LEDs
