9. Installing Adapter Plate
1. Secure wire connectors with supplied wire ties.
2. Twist to loosen the trim ring from the motor housing. Remove 1
and loosen 2 mounting screws from the top of the fan’s housing.
Put 1 mounting screw aside. Remove the fan from the hook.
Slide the motor up to the mounting bracket and twist lock the
housing into place by aligning the screws into the grooves of the
mounting plate. Locate the 1 mounting screw you put aside and
screw it into the 1 remaining hole in the mounting bracket.
3. Tighten all 3 screws and twist the decorative trim ring into place
(Fig. 8A).
4. Make sure you align the grooves of the trim ring as show.

1. Remove 1 of 3 screws and loosen the others from the mounting
ring (do not remove). (Fig. 9)
2. Twist lock adapter plate into place. (Fig. 9)
3. Using the screw from the previous step, install the
adapter plate (Fig. 9).
