PREPARATION
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (Fig. 1)
CONNECTING THE WIRES (Fig. 2)
COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION
1. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove existing fixture, including the crossbar.
2. Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts on a clear area. Be careful not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
3. Remove the mounting screw (B) and the rubber gasket (C) from the back plate.
4. Secure the back plate to the junction box using junction box screws. The side of the back plate marked “GND ” must face out.
5. Connect the fixture’s wires to junction box wires as shown in Fig. 2, making sure that all wire connectors (A) are secured. If your outlet box has a
green or bare copper ground wire, connect the fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the back plate
using the GND screw provided. After wires are connected, tuck them carefully inside the junction box.
8. Secure the fixture to the back plate using the mounting screw (B) and the rubber gasket (C).
6. Remove the fixed screw (D) using Allen Wrench (E) and the base cap from the aluminum frame.
7. Insert the clear hammered seedy glass into the top cap, then secure the base cap to the aluminum frame using the fixed screw (D).
9. To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box and causing a short circuit, use clear caulking (i.e. indoor/outdoor silicone sealant) to outline
the outside of the back plate where it meets the wall. Leave a space at the bottom to allow moisture to escape Fig.3.
