1. Check belt regularly for wear. Replace if necessary.
2. Check belt tension of belt closest to fan midway
between pulleys. 544G, LL, TC, 624G: right side of
engine. 644G: left side of engine.
SPECIFICATIONS
544G, LL, TC, 624G:
Force: 67 N (15 lb) Deflection: 19 mm (0.75 in.)
3. If deflection is not within specifications, loosen
alternator mounting cap screws.
4. Apply force to FRONT alternator housing only (near
the belt) until tension is correct.
5. Tighten cap screws to 57 N•m (40 lb-ft).
