A Beginners Guide to Minecraft
Before you go anywhere you should set your render distance. Do this by pressing the ESC key and
going to Options then video options. After that you should get a screen that looks like this …
If you are not running a 64 bit Java installation, you will receive this message at the bottom of the
screen. Make sure that you set your render distance to “Normal”. This will help to controll the lagg
you may encounter while playing minecraft.
RIGHT! Now your ready to get out there and experience what the world of minecraft has to offer!
But if you want to survive your first night your going to need 2 things, a shelter and a source of light.
But in order to get those, your going to to need wood! Head to the nearest tree and hold down the
left mouse button until the tree breaks.
Now go and pick up that piece of wood and press E. a menu should appear.
