CHAIN DRIVE-LINK NUMBER IDENTIFICATION
Nearly all Oregon

chains are named by a part
number made up of a number (see below), and
letters (see pages 13-14).

First, note the numbers:

These numbers are stamped on the chain’s drive
links and indicate the physical size of the chain
(pitch and gauge).
