AM700 Audio Measurement Set User Manual
Use the Generator Selection display shown in Figure 4-2 to specify the following
generator functions:
H Generator type (analog or digital)
H Generator mode (high resolution or high bandwidth)
H Type of waveform
H Digital generator mode (AES or DSP)
This display also allows you to assign the front-panel Amplitude and Frequency
knobs to a generator and switch generator output on or off.
Touch a generator choice soft key in the top row of the Generator Selection display
to select the analog generator mode—High Resolution or High Bandwidth. In high
resolution mode the analog generator produces two independent, true stereo signals.
In high bandwidth mode the analog generator drives one or both channels with the
same signal.
Icons, buttons, and check boxes in the other rows of this display allow you to select
the following:
H Amplitude and Frequency control-knob assignment
H Output signal parameters
H Enabled or disabled generator output
H Type of digital signal output
Touch the knob assignment icon (see Figure 4-2) to assign the front-panel
Amplitude and Frequency controls to a generator. Once assigned to a generator,
these controls allow you to adjust the generator frequency and amplitude. You can
view frequency and amplitude values in the generator status window by touching the
generator icon in the main display. You can also display these values by touching
the Waveform Control icon in the Generator Control menu.
NOTE. These controls remain active during sweeping. If you do not want to be able
to change the Frequency or Amplitude during a sweep, set the knob assignment to
an unused generator. If running analog sweeps set the knobs to control the digital
generator.
