Frequency Mode. Touch this soft key to display a menu containing these selections:
Audio Sample Rate, Reference Input, and Variable. The Audio Sample Rate
selection sets the base clock frequency for the digital audio and reference outputs to
the current audio sample rate (you can specify the audio sample rate in the
Advanced Digital Audio screen). The clock frequency can be offset (in parts per
million) from this base, and the clock phase difference between the digital audio and
reference outputs can be varied to check the locking range of a device under test.
The Reference Input selection sets the base clock frequency for the digital audio and
reference outputs to the clock frequency present at the rear-panel reference input.
The clock frequency and digital-to-reference output phase can again be offset.
The Variable selection allows you to adjust the clock frequency over the full range
from less than 27 kHz to greater than 54 kHz in steps of approximately 1 Hz.
