Configuring Measurements
Audio Analyzer has up to four graphical views of a measurement and the real-time
measurement view. You can display each of these either individually or at the same
time if desired. Views can be displayed or dismissed by touching any of the five
view selection icons.
To specify the measurement to be displayed in a graphical view, press the Configure
button to display the Configuration menu selections, and touch the Measurement
Setup soft key to display the Configure Measurements menu. In the General
Controls and Relative to Reference controls, the measurements across the top of the
screen are selectable. In the global controls (Sweep, Settled, and Rel to Ref), the
measurement choices are not selectable and are grayed out. When the measurement
choices at the top of the display are not grayed out, touch Meas 1, Meas 2, Meas 3,
or Meas 4 to select the measurement you want to configure.
On the left side of the Configure Measurements screen, the selections displayed
when you touch the Enables (Global) soft key permit you to enable or disable
specific measurements by touching the check boxes in the Enables section of the
display. Another selection in the menu allows you to specify the history count for
the plotted data. With the exception of history count, these are the same selections
that you can make by touching the Enables soft key in the Audio Analyzer Main
menu display. History Count appears in the Plot Control submenu of the Audio
Analyzer Main menu.
Settled Data Point Detection Control settings and Sweep Detection Control settings
are also global; they apply to all the measurements.
In the General Controls display you can specify the measurement mode and the
characteristics associated with the selected mode.
In XY Measurement mode, the AM700 plots measurements on input signals or data.
In this mode you can specify the desired measurement characteristics to be
displayed and the sources for these measurements. Refer to XY Measurements Mode
on page 4-38.
For closed-loop operation in Regulation mode, one or more generator parameters
are controlled by a measured value from the analyzer. In Regulation mode, the
application assumes control of the AM700 audio generator, forcing it to generate a
signal that produces the desired measurement results.
