Figure 4-25: Sweep detection controls
Sweep Detection On. In open-loop operation, the sweep detector determines when
one sweep ends and another begins as defined by the External Sweep Attributes and
Minimum Sweep Rise/Fall settings. A new sweep is detected when a data point
value changes more than the detection level minimum settings (Frequency or
Amplitude) in the correct direction (rising or falling) to indicate a sweep start, and a
new plot is started. Data from previous sweep traces (or previous data in the same
trace) is discarded unless held in history traces.
Enable sweep detection and select External Sweep Source to access the External
Sweep Attributes choices. The detection settings are global; they apply to all the
measurements.
External Sweep Attributes. Select the direction of sweep to detect (rising or falling)
and the sweep type to detect (frequency or amplitude) for the selected measurement.
