Delay Settling is Global and both measurements wait for the same Delay time to start
looking for settled data on the first data point.
After both measurements have settled data, the generator is stepped. Both measurements
then use either the Delay or Variance to determine when to start looking for new settled
data.
Again, after both measurements have settled data, the generator is stepped. This process
continues until the sweep has finished.

affect the generator steps
The AM700 makes measurements continuously, but any particular data point may
not be a representative value, especially after a frequency or amplitude step change
in a test signal. Display of these momentary variations in the input signal is not
desirable, because they are momentary and do not represent the true response of the
device under test. Settled data detection allows the instrument to evaluate groups of
measurements to determine when the incoming data is stable so that a settled
measurement can be made.
