External trigger can be used to determine the phase difference relationship between
two signals that are both related to a common trigger, but are not a stereo pair.
Trigger Mode. Trigger mode can be Auto or Normal. In Normal mode the trace is
displayed only when trigger level and slope conditions are satisfied. In Auto mode
the trace is displayed either when trigger conditions are satisfied or when a
predetermined timeout occurs.
Trigger Slope. Trigger Slope can be set for rising or falling slope to use as the
triggering edge.
Trigger Level. Trigger Level control sets the triggering threshold voltage that will
cause a triggering event when crossed in the selected Slope direction. Level range is
from –173 to +173 volts. Units can also be set to mV.
You can also access the Audio Monitor trigger controls by pressing the Configure
button and touching Measurement Setup to display the Trigger Controls section of
the Configure Measurements menu (see Figure 4-55).
