Digital Interface Tester

AM700 Audio Measurement Set User Manual
Across the top of the Digital Interface Tester you see the view selection bar as
shown in Figure 4-58. It has active soft keys that are used to select the view window
to be displayed and to permit making View Option choices. The default selection is
a display of view 1 with Bit Activity selected. Other views can be selected or they
can all be hidden using the soft keys. Notice also that the icon of the view selection
depicts the type of View Option display to be expected for that view.
Those View Type option choices are: Bit Activity (an averaged bit value bar graph
of the serial digital word), Channel Status Data (a byte-by-byte table showing byte
values of the audio data), Eye Diagram (a digital signal eye pattern showing digital
data signal quality), and Jitter Spectrum (a spectrogram display of the jitter
frequency components). In the Digital Interface Tester, generally only one view is
permitted to be displayed at a time, because the type of data being displayed cannot
be scaled down in size. The last view selected will be the one displayed. However,
the generator status window can be displayed with any view.
