5. Touch Drive on the left side of the Storage Manager to select dos:. A list of the
directories and files at the top level of the disk directory will be displayed.
6. Touch a file name in the files display area to shift the knob focus to the left
side, and use the large control knob to select the file to be transferred.
7. Touch Copy to transfer the file from dos: to nvram:/function. You will see a
notifier that asks if you really want to create the file you have selected in the
nvram:. Touch Ok or Cancel as appropriate.
Deleting a File. Deleting is done by highlighting the file to be deleted and touching
the Delete soft key. Again you will get a notifier, this time asking you if you really
want to delete the selected file. Touch Ok or Cancel as you choose. This works for
nvram: files and dos: files. You cannot erase rom: files.
Renaming a File. If you need to rename a file, first select the file name you want to
change. Touch Rename. This brings up a keyboard to type in the new file name. The
old name will be displayed. You can use the Clear button to remove the whole file
name or the Backspace button to remove the letters one at a time. Touch the
keyboard buttons one at a time to enter the new file name. When you are done,
touch Done. If you touch Cancel, any changes you have made in the file name line
are thrown away, and the file name remains unchanged. The file name must be no
more than 12 characters, and valid dos names are acceptable.
Timed functions can be created as well. These functions monitor the internal clock
of the AM700 to run a user-defined measurement sequence at specific times. These
timed functions can be used to provide unattended round-the-clock monitoring and
data logging. A timed function can be set to run at certain times by setting a time for
it to start using the PROGram commands using remote control. Times for running
functions are not settable from the front-panel controls.
The PROG:SEL:NAME <progname> command names the file that a following
PROG:SEL:TIMed:SET command associates with the cron_string or strings that
are given.
PROG:SEL:NAME progname
PROG:SEL:TIM[:SET] {cron_string,cron_string}
PROG:SEL:TIM:ADD cron_string{,cron_string}
