PROG:EXPL commands are used in the same manner as the PROG:SEL commands
but explicitly name the function to which the command applies. Refer to the AM700
Programmers Manual for further details on the PROGram commands and their use
in running functions.
Example: PROG:EXPL:TIM <prog_name>,<cron_string>
Using the SCPI commands requires the following steps:
1. Send PROG:CAT? to get a comma-separated list of the available functions.
The names are recovered both from the ROM:/FUNCTION and the
NVRAM:/FUNCTION directories. You should not have the same named
functions in both directories.
2. Use the PROG:NAME command to select the function program to run.
3. Use the PROG:STAT RUN command to start the named function. Send
PROG:STAT STOP to stop the running function if it is not self terminating.
A special function is included in the function library to assist in saving state for
repeated setups. The AM700 State Saving function file name is save1_06.tcl. To use
this function do the following:
1. Configure the AM700 in the manner you want to save.
2. Start the Function utility. (Refer to Running a Function on page 4-130.)
3. Select save1_06.tcl either by touching it or using the knob to highlight it.
4. Touch Run Function to start the state saving operation.
5. Press the Clear Menu button.
A notice will appear on the screen while the AM700 State Saving function is
running (if you pressed Clear Menu). When the message prompting you to rename
the newly created file appears, the function is finished saving the setup state. The
saved state files are themselves functions that you can run at any time to restore the
saved setup. You must rename the file if you want to build a library of setup
configuration functions. If you do not rename the file, it will be overwritten the next
time you run the state saving function from the same application.
You can also save the setup files to a floppy disk for later use or transfer them to
other AM700 Audio Measurement Sets to build a standardized set of application
setup functions for repeated testing.
