Capabilities Description
Human Interface
The analyzer has a touch and zoom interface.
Number of Display Screens 1
Number of Measurements per Screen Up to 4 measurements at once
Analysis Modes
Major Modes of Operation
Open Loop (External) Acquisitions are controlled by the received signal.
Measurements (except for the real-time readouts)
are subject to settling criteria, and no special
knowledge of the generated signal (either internal
or external) is assumed by the analyzer.
Closed Loop (Generator) The local generator is coupled to the analyzer.
This mode enables the analyzer to signal the
generator to advance to the next sweep step after
settled data has been acquired.
Minor Modes of Operation
Regulation Mode
Relative to Reference
The analyzer controls the generator amplitude or
frequency to get a desired reading. When the
reading is obtained, a measurement is triggered.
This may be used to produce amplitude versus
frequency plots at a constant distortion level, for
example.
All measurements may be made relative to a pre-
vious measurement. This reference measurement
may be recalled from a file or loaded through the
GPIB.
Acquisition Modes
Major Acquisition Modes
An acquisition may take one of the following
forms:
Automatic Whenever trigger conditions are met, and the
measurement can be made, a new reading is
taken.
