AM700 Audio Measurement Set User Manual
An AM700 application is started by pressing a button (if it has a dedicated
front-panel button) or by selecting it from the menu displayed when the “Other”
front-panel button is pressed and released.
Each AM700 measurement application corresponds functionally to a dedicated
measurement instrument. The AM700 runs one measurement application at a time.
The Generator is independent of the application and maintains its settings between
applications.
The AM700 uses icons in its menus and control panels to represent actions or
available choices. Some of these icons are displayed in Figure 2-3. The display view
selections icons are application specific and are introduced in the Applications
section of this manual beginning on page 4-1.
Figure 2-4 shows the Views selection bar displayed at the top of the FFT Analyzer
application. Touching a Views icon toggles the display of that view on and off. Each
selected view is size adjusted to accommodate all the views you request in the
display.
2
In the most applications, the four views can be displayed as one to four
windows in any combination with a selection of measurements possible in each
view. In FFT Analyzer, the four views are initially set up with views 1 and 2 as FFT
measurements and views 3 and 4 as multitone measurement, but you can change this
set up.
2
An exception to this is seen in the Digital Interface Tester. In that application each view is a different measurement
that cannot be made with the other measurements running. In that application only one measurement view window at
a time is displayed.
