The keypad is used to make numerical input to the menus, set units on readouts and
graphical display axes, and in setting a reference. When numerical values are
selected for editing, numbers can be entered directly using the number keys and the
Enter key. The number in the field being editing is erased as the first keypad number
is pressed. When the field has the number you want, press the Enter key to make the
entry into the field take effect. The field being edited then becomes unselected.
In the keypad, the
(backspace) key is the only key that auto-repeats if you
hold it down.
When a measurement readout that specifies units is displayed and selected, you can
select the units used to display information. Touch the measurement readout that
you want to set new units for to enable editing of the units type for that readout.
Press and hold the Units button to display the pop-up menu where you can choose
the alternate units. Only those units permitted for the enabled choice are displayed
in the menu. Pressing and releasing the Units button toggles through the available
choices, or you can use the large control knob to scroll the list of choices in the
pop-up menu.
