KYBD (Keyboard). An optional, PS/2, AT-compatible keyboard with a mini DIN
connector can be attached to the KYBD connector shown in Figure 2-29. The
keyboard is active whenever a parameter change or qwerty keyboard entry is
expected. Using the external keyboard to make directory and file name entries
makes navigating the file system faster, but one is not necessary for any AM700
operation.

VGA Video. The output of the VGA Video connector permits viewing the AM700
display on a VGA monitor. The connector provides drive signals for an external
color display of the AM700 screen. Refer to VGA Output on page A-23 of Appendix
A for VGA connector pin outs and signal information.
GPIB. The GPIB connector, shown in Figure 2-30, allows the AM700 to be operated
using a remote GPIB controller. The GPIB port can also be used to send hard copy
data to a GPIB printer or plotter. It meets all the electrical specifications for a
standard GPIB connector as described in IEEE-488.
