SAFETY WARNINGS AND GUIDELINES Please read this entire manual before using this device, paying extra attention to these safety warnings and guidelines. Please keep this manual in a safe place for future reference. This plug is intended for indoor use only. Do not subject the plug to extreme force, shock, or fluctuations in temperature or humidity. Ensure that the power output of the wall outlet into which this plug will be installed is between 90~135 VAC, 60 Hz.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW APP INSTALLATION AND LOGIN You will need to install and configure the free Simple Home app on your smartphone or tablet before you can control or schedule the bulb. 1. Download and install the "Simple Home Connect" app from Google Play™ or the App Store. Scan one of the two QR codes below for to go directly to the app page in the appropriate store. Android™ iOS® 2. Once the app is installed, launch it.
3. If you have already used the Simple Home app, tap the Login button, then enter your login with your Simple Home account information. If you have not installed and used the Simple Home app before, you will need to register with the Simple Home software. You can do this in one of two ways: Register Using Your Phone Number a. Tap Register on the opening screen. b. Enter your phone number in the Mobile number / Email field. Tap the Next button. Within 60 seconds an SMS message will be sent to your phone.
Register Using Your Email Address a. Tap Register on the opening screen. b. Enter your email address in the Mobile number / Email field. Tap the Next button. c. Enter a password for the Simple Home software in the Please input password field, the tap the Confirm button. The password must contain 6-20 characters and must include at least one number. EZ MODE PLUG INSTALLATION EZ mode is the default mode for installing the Smart Plug.
4. Select the Smart Plug option. The LED Indicator on the Smart Plug should begin blinking green rapidly, indicating that it is ready to be added in EZ mode. If it does not, press and hold the button on the Smart Plug for 5 seconds. The indicator will begin blinking green rapidly. 5. Tap the Confirm indicator rapidly blink button on your phone. 6. Enter your wireless password to log into your wireless network, then tap Confirm to continue. The app will start connecting with the plug. 7.
7. Tap the Change network link, then select the SmartLife-E8F0 entry and tap Connect now to continue. The app will begin connecting to the Smart Plug. 8. Once the plug and the app are synchronized into the network, the app will inform you that the device was successfully added. Tap Done to continue. 9. You will be left on the Plug Details screen. PLUG CONTROL SCREEN Once you have the plug installed to the app and your network, it will be listed on the Connected Devices screen.
SCHEDULING You can schedule the plug to independently turn on or off at specific times. You can schedule a one-time event or a repeating series of events, as simple or complex as you like. Perform the following steps to schedule events for the bulb. 1. From the Connected Devices screen, tap the plug entry to display the Plug Details screen. 2. Tap the Schedule icon at the bottom of the screen. 3. Tap the Add Schedule button at the bottom of the screen. 4.
4. The display will show two time wheels, with the one on the left representing the number of hours and the one on the right representing the number of minutes. Drag the wheels up or down to set the amount of time before the plug will change state. 5. Tap the Set button. 6. After the specified amount of time has elapsed, the plug will turn off, if it was initially on, or will turn on, if it was initially off.
INDICATOR STATES The LED indicator on the plug will change color to indicate the state of the plug and the power draw on the plug. Note that if the load exceeds 1800 watts, the indicator will flash purple for 10 seconds, then the plug will shut off its output.
