SAFETY WARNINGS AND GUIDELINES Please read this entire manual before using this device, paying extra attention to these safety warnings and guidelines. Please keep this manual in a safe place for future reference. This monitor is intended for indoor use only. Do not expose this monitor to water or moisture of any kind. Do not place drinks or other containers with moisture on or near the monitor.
Clean using a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or detergents. For stubborn deposits, moisten the cloth with warm water. This monitor has no user serviceable parts. Do not open the case or otherwise attempt to modify this monitor. Do not leave a single image on the display for a long period of time. Doing so could cause "burn-in" of the image. It is recommended to use a variable desktop background and to use a screen saver to prevent "burn-in".
SETUP Perform the following steps to prepare your monitor for use. 1. Either assemble the stand and attach it to the rear of the monitor or mount the monitor to a wall or desk mount. 2. Plug one end of the included HDMI® cable into one of the HDMI inputs on the monitor, then plug the other end into the HDMI video output on your computer. Alternatively, you can connect using a DisplayPort® cable (not included). 3.
KENSINGTON SECURITY SLOT This monitor features a Kensington Security Slot™, which can be used to secure your monitor to prevent theft. The connector is located on the rear of the monitor. The following image illustrates an example of usage to secure the monitor to a table or desk. OSD MENU Button Labels and Functions Pressing any of the control buttons, other than the Power Button ( ), causes the button labels to appear on screen above their respective buttons. Following are the basic menu level button labels, from left to right. View Mode: Displays a quick menu that allows for selection of one of nine video equalization presets (Standard, Game, Movie, Web, Text, MAC, and Mono).
Left/Decrease: Moves the highlight to the left or decreases the displayed value when editing an entry. Right/Increase: Moves the highlight to the right or increases the displayed value when editing an entry.
