BUZZER: The time of the buzzer will ring once an alarm has been triggered. Options
are: 0, 10, 20, 40, and 60 seconds.
Post Alarm Recording: The length of time to wait before beginning recording after the
motion detection alarm has been triggered. Options are: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2
minutes, and 5 minutes.
Email SETUP: The DVR can send an email whenever the motion detection alarm is
triggered. For this to occur, the DVR must be connected to internet (see Chapter 4
"DVR Network" for instructions). When motion detection is triggered, the system will
extract a still image at the time of the trigger and will send it to the specified email
address. Use this screen to setup your email parameters.
SSL: A secure link transmission protocol. Whether this is "On" or "Off" is determined by
the mail server.
SMTP PORT: The outgoing port on which mail will be sent. This is usually port 25, but
other servers, such as GMail, use different values (GMail uses port 465). Check with
your ISP if you have difficulties with this.
SMTP: The server address of the mailbox used to send the email. For example, the
SMTP server of the Yahoo mailbox is smtp.mail.yahoo.com. Check with your email
provider if you are unsure of the value for this field.
SEND EMAIL: The mailbox address used to send emails.
SEND PW: The password of the mailbox used to send emails.
RECV EMAIL: The email address used to receive the picture transmitted by the DVR
motion detection alarm. If the alarm frequency of the system is high, the number of
pictures sent will also be larger. Please pay attention to the available space of your
mailbox to ensure that it does not get filled with alarm images.
