Assembly Instructions for Log Bed
Thank you very much for purchasing our heirloom quality log bed. Should you have any questions or wish to contact

Before beginning assembly please take a few moments to read the instructions carefully, understanding each step. For
ease of assembly, it is suggested that two people complete steps 4 through 7. Likewise, please also ensure that the
hardware package contains the items as described here.
Hardware List: (16) 2 ½ Lag Bolts & Washers, (16) Lag Shield Inserts
Parts List: (1) Log Headboard, (1) Log Footboard, (2) Log Bottom Side Rails with Metal Slat Supports, (2) Log Upper
Side Rails, (3) Wooden Support Slats, (1)Hardware Kit
Tools Needed: 9/16 Socket, 1/2 Wrench, Hammer .
Assembly Directions:
Step 1. Insert a lag shield insert into each of the 16 predrilled holes of the headboard and footboard assemblies. Using a
hammer, tap each shield until flush with the surface of the log.
Step 2. Stand headboard and footboard assemblies upright with the holes containing the lag shields facing one another.
Separate the assemblies by the length of the included side rails so that ease of assembly is ensured.
Step 3. Place one 5/16 washer on each of the sixteen 2 ½ lag bolts .
Step 4. With one person holding the bottom side rail, the other inserts a 2 ½ lag bolt and washer through the slot on the
bottom side rail, continuing into one of the lag shields on the headboard. Do not tighten fully at this time. Repeat for the
footboard and for the opposite side until all eight lag bolts are in place. Again, do not tighten the lags at this time
Step 5. Attach top side rails using procedures in step 4.
Step 6. Place wooden slats onto metal slat support of bottom side rail, spacing evenly for proper mattress support.
Step 7. Tighten all lag bolts fully at this time.
Your new log bed is now fully assembled. Enjoy!
