PresstheCH.BfootswitchandSAVEbuttonsimultaneouslytoturncabsimon/off.When
cabsimison,theSAVEbuttonLEDwillturnRED.Whencabsimisoff,theSAVEbuttonLED
willturnBLUE.
YoucanutilizethePreampModelXeditorsoftwaretoselectfromthreedifferentcabsim
files,orloadyourownthirdpartyIR/GIRcabsimfiles.
5.FactoryReset
UnplugthepowercordthenpressandholdtheSAVEbuttonwhileplugginginthepower
cordtopowerontheunit.ThePRESETLEDwillstarttoblink.Releasethebuttonandwait
fortheLEDtostartblinkingtoconfirmtheresetwassuccessful.Allpresetsandimported
datafileswillbeclearandsetbacktofactorydefaultsettings.
6.FirmwareUpdate(Boottoupdatemodemanually)
YoucanupdatethefirmwareofthePreampModelXusingtheeditorsoftwareonyour
computer.Youcanbootthedevicetoupdatemodeusingthefootswitchesandbuttons,or
fromtheeditorsoftware.Thehardwarebootupprocedurecanbefoundbeloworyoucan
refertothesoftwarebootupprocedureintheeditorsoftwaresectionofthismanual.
*Poweroffthedevice.
*Pressandholdbothfootswitches+SAVEbuttonwhilepoweringonthedevice.
*ThePresetIndicatorwillblinkindifferentcolorsasitisbootstoupdatemode.
*ConnectthedevicetoacomputerusingaUSBcable.
*OpenthePreampModelXeditorsoftware.Theupdatewindowwillpopup.
*ClickonSTARTtobegintheupdate.Waitforafewminutesuntiltheupdateiscomplete.
