MODIFICATIONS
8.1
SERVICE
BULLETIN

This
Service
Bulletin
was
issued
and
is
included
in
this
manual
to
avoid
future
maintenance
because
of
defective
or
intermittent
touch
sensor
bar.
This
condition
occurs
because
of
a
chemical
reaction
between
the
foam
and
conductive
nylon
material.
8.2
TOUCH
SENSOR
BAR
(Minitmoog
Serial
Numbers
below
2144)
Rebuilt
touch
sensor
bars
are
available
under
part
number
997-043976-001.
It
is
estimated
to
require
1
hour
to
perform
the following
procedures:
1.
Remove
the
touch
sensor
from
the
unit
by
removing
the
bottom
cover
and
unscrewing
four
screws
(Figure
8-1)
to
disassemble
the
unit
to
the
extent
shown
in
Figure
8-2.
2.
Remove
the
five
nuts
from
the
captive
screws
(Figure
8-2)
securing
the
top
support
to
the
unit
and
remove
the
support.
3.
Unscrew
the
two
screws
that
attach
the
sensor
to
the
top
support
(Figure
8-3).
4.
Remove
and
discard
the
conductive
nylon
material
and
the
double
sided
tape
(Figure
8-4)
being
careful
to
avoid
damaging
the
foam
pad.
