F. MODULATION BUSSES
Modulation is the heart of making interesting sounds with analog subtractive synthesis. The
Voyager’s two Modulation busses open up a world of modulation possibilities that were not
available on the original Minimoog. The Mod Busses allow the user to select a variety of
modulation sources, their destinations, addition shaping of the amount of modulation, and a
maximum level. The Mod busses are labeled Mod Wheel and Pedal/On. The performance control
for the Mod Wheel Buss is MIDI CC1, the default Mod Wheel CC message. The Pedal/On Buss
level is set by a combination of the Amount control, and a Voltage called “MOD 1”. MOD 1 is
normally “on”, so the main level control for the Pedal/On Buss is just the Amount control. MOD1 is
addressable through the EDIT Mode function “Pot Mapping”, or MIDI CC 2.
