Cement Tile Sealant
Recommendation &
Information
Not all sealants are best for sealing your
hand crafted cement tiles!
Please use our recommended products
below. If you decide to use another
product, be sure to test it on a few tiles
before using it on the entire installation.
These hand-made Moroccan Cement Tiles can be
installed like any other tile! However, they MUST
BE SEALED BEFORE & AFTER THE
GROUTING PROCESS!
Recommendations: Any thin-set mortar used for tile setting
MMTH Uses: AcrylPro Ceramic Tile Adhesive
Ongoing Maintenance:
Cement tiles should be cleaned on a daily basis with water
and a PH neutral soap or detergent.
DO NOT USE bleach or any chemical cleaners on cement
tile.
Simply wet your tile and apply the soap/detergent with a
sponge, Swiffer®, or similar cleaning tool. Rinse with water.
Stain Removal:
Many stains can be removed with Hydrogen Peroxide.
Saturate a clean cloth or white paper towel and let it sit on top
of the stain. Hydrogen Peroxide will not harm the tile.
Deeper and difficult stains can be removed using a poultice
method. Place a poultice powder on top of a stain (indirectly,
using a paper towel to place the powder on). The poultice will
then draw out the stain by absorbing it.
Tougher stains can be removed with 220 Sand Paper. Sand
the tiles individually & ONLY on the area that needs it. Make
sure to sand the colors of the tiles separately, as sanding them
together WILL create a smudged outcome. (Re-Seal the tiles
after sanding them)

Recommendations:
We recommend using our in-house
sealants, Impregnating Sealant and
Topical Sealant. After testing many
sealants, we have finally found a
product system that works perfectly with
our tiles. Our sealant products are very
easy to apply and offer a beautiful finish
available in either matte or semi-gloss.
The Impregnating Sealant will protect
the entire tile from moisture. The
Topical Sealant will protect the surface
of the tile from stains, scratches, and
other blemishes.
Sealing Instructions:
1. Apply 1 coat of the
Impregnating Sealant and
wait for it to fully dry
2. Apply 1 coat of the Topical
Sealant and wait for it to
fully dry
3. Begin the grouting process
with any un-sanded, neutral
or off-white color grout
(WE DO NOT
RECOMMEND DARK-
COLOR GROUT!)
4. Apply 2 coats of the Topical
Sealant, but allowing each
coat to fully dry in between
NOTE: The Sealant can be applied
with a wool roller or sponge
