Blockages

Check nozzles, tubes and hose and dust canister connector for blockages or partial blockages

that may impair the performance of the cleaner.

Eco switch and air-flow control

When maximum suction is required, make sure the air-flow control is closed and the Eco

Switch is set to MAX.

Textiles and upholstery Ï Ì To remove, press the buttons on the hose and pull out.

73270 rev2 D 27/10/08 09:52 Page 5 Switching on ‡ Always pull out the supply cable to it’s maximum length. Plug the appliance into the mains supply. Ensure that the Eco Switch ‡ is set to the required setting before switching the cleaner on D. Push the on/off switch fl to start the motor. E Controlling suction power The suction power can be varied to suit the surface being cleaned, by using the Eco Switch ‡ E, see table for guideline settings.

73270 rev2 27/10/08 09:52 Page 6 Tube parking G G Push aside the spring-loaded filter clip Á K and lift out the pleated filter Â L. Tap or brush the filter to remove dust from the pleats. During short breaks in cleaning, the tubes can be held in an upright, ‘standby’ position. Rotate the floor nozzle until the lug on the neck can be fitted into the tube standby slot ‚ on the rear of the appliance, whilst you move furniture for instance.

3270 rev2 27/10/08 09:52 Page 7 Purchasing filters Ensure the filter is fully dry before replacing into the machine. 3 Use only genuine replacement filters which can be purchased from specialist retailers or by calling our helpline number below. Place the filter back into position. IMPORTANT: Check this filter every time the dust canister is emptied and clean if necessary.
