Moseley product s are designed for long life and trouble-free operation. However, t his
equipm ent, as with all elect ronic equipm ent , m ay have an occasional com ponent failure.
The following inform ation will assist you in the event t hat servicing becom es necessary.
TECH N I CAL ASSI STANCE
Technical assistance for Moseley product s is available from our Technical Support
Depart m ent by phone or email. When calling, please give t he com plet e m odel num ber of
the radio, along with a description of t he trouble/ sym ptom ( s) t hat you are experiencing.
I n m any cases, problem s can be resolved over t he telephone, without t he need for
returning the unit to the fact ory. Please use one of the following m eans for product
assist ance:

FACTORY SERVI CE
Com ponent level repair of radio equipm ent is not recom m ended in the field. Many
com ponent s are inst alled using surface m ount t echnology, which requires specialized
training and equipment for proper servicing. For t his reason, the equipm ent should be
returned t o the fact ory for any PC board repairs. The fact ory is best equipped t o
diagnose, repair and align your radio t o it s proper operat ing specifications.
I f return of t he equipm ent is necessary, you will be issued a Service Request Order
( SRO) num ber and ret urn shipping address. The SRO num ber will help expedite t he
repair so that the equipm ent can be repaired and ret urned t o you as quickly as possible.
Please be sure t o include the SRO num ber on t he outside of t he shipping box, and on any
correspondence relat ing to the repair. No equipm ent will be accepted for repair wit hout
an SRO num ber.
A st at em ent should accom pany the radio describing, in det ail, the t rouble sym ptom ( s) ,
and a descript ion of any associated equipm ent norm ally connect ed to the radio. I t is also
im port ant t o include the nam e and telephone num ber of a person in your organization
who can be contact ed if addit ional inform ation is required.
The radio m ust be properly packed for return to the fact ory. The original shipping
container and packaging m aterials should be used whenever possible.
