Mobile broadband with GPS issues
I can’t connect to a mobile broadband network
• Mobile broadband is only available if you purchased your C5te/F5te with the optional
Mobile Broadband with GPS module.
• A mobile broadband network requires you to have a data plan from a cellular network
provider.
• You may need a SIM card from your network provider. If the network is on a UMTS
network (such as AT&T®, Orange® or T-Mobile®), your network carrier must provide you
with a SIM card and you insert the SIM card (see Using the SIM card slot on page 51). The
SIM card contains your account information.
• Ensure that Mobile Broadband is enabled. Open Motion Tablet Center, and tap Power.
Ensure that the switch beside Mobile Broadband is set to On.
I changed my SIM card and now I can’t connect to my mobile broadband network
• The tablet should be shut down when changing or inserting the SIM card. Restart the
tablet to enable the SIM card.
The GPS doesn’t work
• The GPS receiver is only available if you purchased your C5te/F5te with the optional
Mobile Broadband with GPS module.
• The GPS navigation or mapping application your are using must be able to handle
standard NMEA GPS information.
• If performance is slow, you may be blocking GPS antenna, which is located on the right,
bottom side of the Tablet PC. Don’t hold the tablet in this area (shown below) when
using the GPS receiver.
Audio issues
No sound is coming from the built-in speakers
• Ensure that nothing is connected to the audio in/out jack. Connecting headphones or
external speakers disables the built-in speaker.
• The volume may be set too low or muted. Swipe from the right to open the Charms bar,
tap the volume icon , and adjust the slider to raise the volume.

• The integrated audio components may have been overwritten. If you install a third-party
audio device (such as a USB or Bluetooth device), the integrated audio may stop
